Electrical Designer/Drafter

The Job

Our office in Seattle, WA is looking for an Electrical Designer / Drafter to join our growing team.  The majority of the Seattle office projects are telecommunication, data center and other critical environment facilities. Other projects include water and waste water, commercial and institutional facilities.  Job responsibilities include:

  • Field investigation of existing site and system conditions.
  • General understanding and design of electrical and fire alarm systems.
  • Scheduling, programming, quality control, and coordinating information/work of all disciplines,
  • Branch and feeder circuiting, load calculations and panel schedules.
  • Background and layer management.

Our Electrical Drafters use AutoCAD to design electrical and fire alarm systems.

Your Background

To succeed in this role, you need to meet the following basic requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in the drafting of electrical systems for various types of facilities 
  • Experience with one-line diagrams
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is required (REVIT experience is a plus but not required)
  • Layout and design of electrical distribution and branch circuits.
